The weekend starts early with Tato class on Friday mornings, always one of the highlights of my week.
Tato is not only a talented musician, but also an excellent teacher. I have attended numerous percussion classes and your method is by far the best I have experienced.
His classes are always fun and varied, he has many great techniques to help you learn and remember new skills. As you progress, he continues to push you to improve and challenge yourself, but without allowing things to become too difficult or stressful.

I'm learning conga music with Tato Sassone and I've also played djembe with him, and my conclusion is that he's a spectacular musician. He has an impressive technique, and I've seen him play absolutely everything that can make a sound 😉: from the drums to the congas, the cajón, and the djembe, and he always amazes me. As a teacher, he's excellent; he's incredibly patient, has a very clear method, and teaches in a friendly way that makes every class a joy. For me, he's a complete 10: as a musician, as a teacher, and as a person. I'm grateful that this genius is in Barcelona and that I can learn from him.

An exceptional dedication to his art, whether with the drums, percussion, or a combination of both, and this time he even incorporated wind effects. Not wind chimes, but wind effects, for a part of the lyrics that mentions the wind. What attention to detail! Wow!

Gustavo "Tato" Sassone has recorded more than half a dozen albums for Slow Walk Music and at my studio, Slow Sound Studio. Tato is not only incredibly talented and has excellent taste in his playing, but he also always comes prepared, with his own ideas but willing to record whatever the artist requests, which is ideal not only for a studio musician but also for live performances. To any artist who asks me for a drummer for any style, I always recommend Tato.
The rhythm track for my ballad was sparse and lacked any groove, but Gustavo played several excellent percussion tracks that fit perfectly and gave my song a new dimension. A great experience!

Tato is an inspiring, understanding and committed teacher. His musical knowledge is extensive and diverse. He is very capable, even when there are different levels in a group class, of offering each student something that suits their level. The classes are varied, there is plenty of room for interaction and you will learn to develop and use your own creativity and musicality. This gives you the opportunity to develop your own style. Drum classes include working on technical skills, rhythm, feeling, and playing the drums along with your favorite music. Percussion classes teach you existing rhythms and how to improvise in a solo, as well as creating rhythms together using different percussion instruments.
Music for tap dancers offers a good combination of theory and practice. You will obtain tools that you can immediately apply in your dance.

Tato is an excellent teacher, after nine months receiving his classes, I can say that his teachings are loaded with examples that bring the theoretical to the practical in an intuitive and simple way, with a very entertaining and at the same time rigorous ability to maintain the class. at a pace that seems like time passes without you realizing it and you haven't stopped working and learning for the duration of the class.

Tato is a great teacher, an incredible musician and a fantastic person. I had the opportunity to take music classes for dancers with him and I highly recommend him. As a singing teacher, I was worried about going back to studying music theory and music theory, which I already studied at the Conservatory, but he managed to give me a lot of new materials to work with and make each class interesting. His relaxed attitude, always with a friendly smile on his face, and his ability to encourage you to explore things you may not feel comfortable with are remarkable.

I had the pleasure of attending Tato's “Music for (Tap) Dancers” classes at Luthier, and found them fascinating!
It provided a new way of looking at tap dancing, not only as a "dance" but also as a potential musician.
The instructions were always clear and Tato was always patient and encouraging when we were struggling with something.
It was evident that Tato has a lot of experience working with dancers and knows exactly what it takes to take your dancing to the next level.
I always look forward to taking music classes with Tato. At first, it was something I felt intimidated by because, well, it's a completely different language. However, over time, it became easier as Tato educates you in a way that is easier to understand and follow. I still have a lot to learn and I know I'm in good hands!
For someone who doesn't have any musical training, with the way Tato designs his classes, I still feel like there's a lot I can understand too.
