Workshops for Dancers

It's time to bring dance closer to music

Rhythm. Musicality. Improvisation.

Understanding tap as one more instrument within the musical ensemble, bringing this dance closer to music in a natural way, expanding its rhythmic, expressive and improvisational possibilities

This is what we work in the workshops and musicality classes for tap dancers,
starting from the point of view of the musician and applied in a practical way to dance
Goals

The objective is to expand the resources and possibilities to improvise, "clean up" the phrases and rhythms that we execute with our feet so that they can be understood 100%, develop a strong sense of tempo and improve the solidity of our rhythmic phrases by broadening our musical judgment and understanding. and expand the imagination when improvise.

Content

I have been teaching rhythm and musicality to dancers for years, developing a program created specifically for tap dancers, with great results, where we see all kinds of games and rhythmic progressions that help us better understand the tempo, the bars and learn to listen and understand better the music. We will also cover different musical styles, their structures and we´ll know their main characteristics and how to improvise on them.
