Gustavo is a passionate and inspiring music teacher. I recommend it!
5 stars - one for each hand that holds a drumstick or percussioninstrument makes 10 stars
Gustavo is a great professional, he always adds and makes the band's work easy, he provides resources to continue loving this profession. From music and friendship it is a pleasure to share your great talent and good work. Thanks Tato!
I had Tato for the drum recording of several songs and it was a pleasure to work with him. He brought many new elements to the songs and with his touch he gave the percussions the vibe they needed!
"Tato" is an excellent musician. As a drummer and percussionist, a reference professional and as a teacher, a very good teacher!!
In percussion classes you learn ethnic rhythms, percussion techniques and participate in ensembles that allow you to evolve very quickly so you can enjoy learning.
For all of us who want to learn percussion as amateurs, that a musician like "Tato" dedicates his time to teaching is lucky!!
This is the second time I've entrusted Gustavo with a track, and of course he hasn't disappointed; in fact, he continues to amaze me with his class, good taste, technique, and professionalism. We're talking about a true percussion pro. Highly recommended!
Excellent once again!
drums and percussion
Thank you!
The rhythm track for my ballad was sparse and lacked any groove, but Gustavo played several excellent percussion tracks that fit perfectly and gave my song a new dimension. A great experience!
The weekend starts early with Tato class on Friday mornings, always one of the highlights of my week.
Tato is not only a talented musician, but also an excellent teacher. I have attended numerous percussion classes and your method is by far the best I have experienced.
His classes are always fun and varied, he has many great techniques to help you learn and remember new skills. As you progress, he continues to push you to improve and challenge yourself, but without allowing things to become too difficult or stressful.
Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning percussion.
Tato is an excellent teacher, after nine months receiving his classes, I can say that his teachings are loaded with examples that bring the theoretical to the practical in an intuitive and simple way, with a very entertaining and at the same time rigorous ability to maintain the class. at a pace that seems like time passes without you realizing it and you haven't stopped working and learning for the duration of the class.
Tato fills his classes with metaphors to make the difficult seem easy and adapts to the needs of each student with enviable versatility, perceives the atmosphere of the group and knows how to position himself to get the most out of it, adapting the dynamics "in situ" to the situation. energy of every day. Challenging and entertaining classes, full of challenges that are achievable at the moment, some and many others to take under your professional belt and work on them whenever you want.
He generously shares his learning processes and reflections to bring them closer to one and not feel that teacher/student barrier as something unattainable but rather that perseverance and work will lead you to achieve your goals in music. Also having the ability to allow opinions to be heard and give a voice to the student since many times the different perspectives have enriched their classes thanks to having created these spaces for dialogue, without forgetting the future of the session.
In other words, Tato is a “One of a kind” teacher that you will hardly forget because he transmits a very contagious passion for what he teaches.
Thanks Tato
Was a pleasure working with Gustavo. Such a professional. Also good communication. He uplifted my track with the drum parts. Definitely recommend
I had the pleasure of attending Tato's “Music for (Tap) Dancers” classes at Luthier, and found them fascinating!
It provided a new way of looking at tap dancing, not only as a "dance" but also as a potential musician.
The instructions were always clear and Tato was always patient and encouraging when we were struggling with something.
It was evident that Tato has a lot of experience working with dancers and knows exactly what it takes to take your dancing to the next level.
Excellent drummer. He uses both drums and percussion in most of my songs. He works quickly and delivers ahead of schedule. His approach is very creative. I love him!
I highly recommend working with Gustavo.
Gustavo, besides being an exceptional percussionist, is a pedagogical, patient, precise, and kind teacher, with a great sense of humor that makes his classes especially enjoyable and accessible. If you're a tap dancer, with him, music will hold no more secrets for you! Come on!
Gustavo never ceases to amaze me; the rhythmic percussion he creates is fantastic!
5 stars, of course!
If you haven't hired Gustavo for drums and percussion yet, what are you waiting for? You're sure to love him!
The amount of musical concepts that you acquire in his classes, ideas that you develop with his help and theories that you apply is simply brutal. In terms of teaching and information transfer, it is the best I have received in years.
Gustavo is simply the Best! Just a fantastic talent, communicator, and a good person. It was a Joy to work with him and I cannot wait to do it again. Thank You
Gustavo Sassone has an amazing instinct for what each song needed, ultimately wielding the whole album together. On top of his talent, he was able to deliver at short notice. I could not have asked for a better collaborator and I am grateful to have found him when I did.
Gustavo provided Bob Marley era reggae drumming and percussion to an original song of mine. First take also. Professional attitude and fast turnaround. Thanks!
I love this musician's creativity and the variety of percussion instruments he often uses to complement the drums.
Highly recommended.
Great professional in the field, not only teaching but also artistic. I commissioned him a musical composition somewhat urgently for a dance project and he put all his percussive, technical and cultural knowledge in favor of this assignment. And he did it with the speed, commitment and rigor that characterize great professionals.
Gustavo is great, highly recommended. It´s like that pizza box says "once you´ve tried the rest, now come try the best" Take my word on it, you can thank me later
Tato is a great teacher, an incredible musician and a fantastic person. I had the opportunity to take music classes for dancers with him and I highly recommend him. As a singing teacher, I was worried about going back to studying music theory and music theory, which I already studied at the Conservatory, but he managed to give me a lot of new materials to work with and make each class interesting. His relaxed attitude, always with a friendly smile on his face, and his ability to encourage you to explore things you may not feel comfortable with are remarkable.
There are so many things I would love to write, but I can sum them all up in one sentence: take a class with him, then you will be a new dancer/musician/performer!
They have been fantastic years with Tato, now for unexpected reasons I cannot attend classes, as a teacher a ten, but as a person much more, very cool classes where you learn a lot, recommended
100×100,
I miss you, carnal, and my friends too, we will see each other again, for sure.
5 stars
Fast delivery, friendly gentleman
Played on several of my songs
Hope to work with him again for future projects

Always a pleasure to work with Gustavo Friendly, great communication. He seems to know just the right sounds to add to your track, not only drums but possibly percussion elements as well. delivers ahead of schedule 5 stars Highly recommended
I love Tato's Music for Tap Dancers classes! They've helped me better understand music and rhythmic concepts. As a professional drummer, Tato brings a perspective that perfectly complements tap as a percussive dance form. I recommend these classes to all tap lovers.
Great professional and companion, going with him is going calmly to any event, I love the way he plays and the finesse when it comes to the dynamics in the different songs…
A great experience with Gustavo!
This time, it was a song about Gouda cheese, and it was amazing with the drums and percussion!
Thank you!
First time working with Gustavo. He added some really nice, tasty percussion to a ballad type track of mine
Communication was great
Delivery was incredibly fast

5 amazing stars! Excellent mix of drums and percussion. Everyone joins in the party: drums, maracas, tambourine. Wonderful! Highly recommended.
Impressive once again
Excellent musician.
Tato is an inspiring, understanding and committed teacher. His musical knowledge is extensive and diverse. He is very capable, even when there are different levels in a group class, of offering each student something that suits their level. The classes are varied, there is plenty of room for interaction and you will learn to develop and use your own creativity and musicality. This gives you the opportunity to develop your own style. Drum classes include working on technical skills, rhythm, feeling, and playing the drums along with your favorite music. Percussion classes teach you existing rhythms and how to improvise in a solo, as well as creating rhythms together using different percussion instruments.
Music for tap dancers offers a good combination of theory and practice. You will obtain tools that you can immediately apply in your dance.
Energetic and fun classes, I highly recommend it!
Excellent drummer and percussionist. Gustavo makes your songs excel on so many levels
A professional through and through!
Passionate about music.
He came to our studio today to record drums for some tracks, and he was incredible!
Very efficient and creative.
We hope to see you soon!
In the tato classes it adapts to each person's level and gives you confidence and elements so that you can progressively improve your technique and creativity when playing.
Professional, close and cheerful; It is a pleasure to learn percussion and play with him and the other classmates a few hours a week.
Keep going like this!
Another great drum session!
He gave this last song a great rhythm.
Awesome!
Tato is a crack! In addition to being an incredible percussionist, he is a great teacher. All of his students are very lucky to have him.
Phenomenal musician!
An exceptional dedication to his art, whether with the drums, percussion, or a combination of both, and this time he even incorporated wind effects. Not wind chimes, but wind effects, for a part of the lyrics that mentions the wind. What attention to detail! Wow!
Five stars in each hand.
Highly recommended!
Gustavo delivered exceptional files for my song, with excellent sound quality and incredibly fast delivery. A brilliant musician who perfectly captured the essence I was looking for.
I'm really looking forward to working with you again, John.
Gustavo is a fantastic drummer who does a really great job thinking through his arrangements. He always keeps my vision in mind and does a fantastic job of coming up with creative drums parts. I highly recommended working with him!
5 stars once again Thank You Gustavo!
It was a pleasure working with Gustavo on several of my songs. Reliable and friendly. For this last song, he recorded drums and percussion. 5 stars recommended.
He's an excellent teacher. He loves his job and instills a love of music and art. Attending his classes is an honor, and I'm very lucky to be able to attend all of them. Thank you, Maestro Tato!
Gustavo provided an excellent drum track for my song. His parts are consistently interesting, played with precision and exactly what the song needed. I look forward to working with him again!
Thank you Tato for your generosity, your patience and your way of teaching that is always full of affection. You don't know how much you have helped me enjoy tap more and more. There is still a way to go but thanks to your classes I have the necessary tools to continue moving forward. See you soon.
Gustavo played some really cool percussion on the latest track and also featured a glockenspiel! Just really amazing
Highly recommended gifted musician!
Thank you, Gustavo!
Excellence at all times.
Gustavo is a highly talented percussionist. He has great ideas to contribute to an arrangement. Thanks! John
The drums are usually the first instrument I play before adding others. You wouldn't believe how many times other musicians have asked me, "Who's that amazing drummer/percussionist you're using? He's phenomenal!"
And he is.
Thanks again, Gustavo, for an excellent job!
Brilliant!
I am very happy that I decided to hire Tato to record drums and other percussion instruments for my album Half Lives. He was very reliable, punctual and full of ideas, and really raised the quality of the songs to a new level. I would not hesitate to hire him again since he is a true professional and also a very good person.
Tato teaches the fundamentals of percussion very well. We had a great time in his classes. They are a weekly energy recharge. Thanks Tato!!!
Great musician and professional
I value your classes very much because of your need to want to share your knowledge and your experience with great enthusiasm, and from different perspectives for greater understanding for everyone.
Lots of culture and flavor!!
Thanks, teacher
We continue!
Great teacher as well as a great professional! I would definitely take your classes again!!🙌🏻
Good teacher and percussionist, attentive and with great involvement and love in what he does, always grateful to have him as a guide in the world of music. Pure magic!! ✨
Gustavo "Tato" Sassone has recorded more than half a dozen albums for Slow Walk Music and at my studio, Slow Sound Studio. Tato is not only incredibly talented and has excellent taste in his playing, but he also always comes prepared, with his own ideas but willing to record whatever the artist requests, which is ideal not only for a studio musician but also for live performances. To any artist who asks me for a drummer for any style, I always recommend Tato.
He is a genius, very didactic and is really immersed in the subject of musicality. I have learned a lot in your classes! I take classes with him at a Tap school but I think I could also take classes with him at any Latin or Afro or swing dance school, that is, where music is used to dance. Thanks Tato!!!
This is the first time I've had the pleasure of working with Gustavo. Not only did he not disappoint, but I can say without a doubt that he is a top-notch musician. He plays beautifully and offers incredibly professional service. He always meets deadlines; his excellent sound, impeccable timing, and great communication skills make him the perfect collaborator, and we will be working with him again very soon. Highly recommended.
Throughout the course, I have been able to enjoy his classes and learn a lot! He is a true music professional, and of course I will continue for more years! I recommend it to you!! Do not miss it!
Gustavo did a spectacular job with the drums for my project. He has a lot of dedication, great musical taste, and, above all, a lot of patience. He perfectly understood what I wanted and took it to the next level. Highly recommended!
I'm learning conga music with Tato Sassone and I've also played djembe with him, and my conclusion is that he's a spectacular musician. He has an impressive technique, and I've seen him play absolutely everything that can make a sound 😉: from the drums to the congas, the cajón, and the djembe, and he always amazes me. As a teacher, he's excellent; he's incredibly patient, has a very clear method, and teaches in a friendly way that makes every class a joy. For me, he's a complete 10: as a musician, as a teacher, and as a person. I'm grateful that this genius is in Barcelona and that I can learn from him.
Great person, great co-worker, great musician and fantastic friend. Gustavo "Tato" is a wonderful being with whom we always want to share moments, let's hope that we have many of those moments ahead of us.
Very good and fun percussion classes. Gustavo knows how to guide you, adapting at all times to the rhythm and level of each one. Highly recommended!
Very good professional, he changed the way my songs were written, very good communication at all times, he accepts ideas and also contributes them, very creative, 100% recommended.
Fantastic percussion teacher who adapts to all levels of students, whether or not they have musical knowledge, with a lot of patience, good humor and professionalism.
We have been playing batucada rhythms with him for about 11 years and every year we repeat because he gives us a lot of energy and joy! A crack 👌
Another excellent performance to be applauded. This time he recorded drums and percussion. 5 stars and highly recommended.
This time, Gustavo worked on a pop song, but he gave it a special touch and even sent a stereo track with a suggested panning effect once it was finished.
It exceeded all expectations.
Highly recommended.
Talented percussionist.
5 stars
Magnificent drummer and percussionist, tremendous professional and great person. Tato is a metronome, a crack, a clock that makes everything run perfectly.
I always look forward to taking music classes with Tato. At first, it was something I felt intimidated by because, well, it's a completely different language. However, over time, it became easier as Tato educates you in a way that is easier to understand and follow. I still have a lot to learn and I know I'm in good hands!
For someone who doesn't have any musical training, with the way Tato designs his classes, I still feel like there's a lot I can understand too.
Thank you, Tato, for guiding us to understand a world of tap and rhythm through the eyes and touch of a percussionist. As an educator, I find Tato quite interesting, easy to talk to, dedicated, helpful, and available to answer anything you may be struggling with when it comes to music theory.
Great professional. Gustavo is a safe bet for your projects, whatever their style, he has musicality and the necessary knowledge to make your band work well. I couldn't recommend it more!
Tato's methodology adapts perfectly to all levels and the classes are very attractive and well structured.
I really enjoy our class after work on Tuesdays; It's the perfect start to the week.
Excellent drummer and percussionist. A wonderful experience every time, with smooth communication throughout the process and delivery ahead of schedule. I've had the pleasure of working with Gustavo before and will continue to do so. Highly recommended.
